Adult auditions for our 2019 production of Oliver! are now open:
Bringing Charles Dickens’ beloved novel to life, Lionel Bart’s Oliver! takes audiences on a wild adventure through Victorian England. Young, orphaned Oliver Twist must navigate London’s underworld of theft and violence in search of a home, a family, and – most importantly – love. When Oliver is picked up on the street by a boy named the Artful Dodger, he is welcomed into a gang of child pickpockets led by the conniving yet charismatic Fagin. When Oliver is falsely accused of a theft he did not commit, he is rescued by a kind and wealthy gentleman… much to the dismay of Fagin’s violent sidekick, Bill Sykes. Caught in the middle is the warm-hearted Nancy, who is trapped under Bill’s thumb, but desperate to help Oliver, with tragic results. With spirited, timeless songs like “As Long As He Needs Me”, “Food, Glorious Food”, and “Where is Love”, Oliver! Is a musical classic.
Come to our information evening on Wednesday 14th November, 8pm at Aspendale Gardens Community Centre to meet our committee and production team and learn more about the audition process
Please prepare two contrasting songs:

Auditionees will read lines from the script for the character you are auditioning for. Script excerpts will be provided for you on the day. We may also ask you to read lines for another character on the spot if we feel you are more suited to another role.
Please bring along performance resume (if you have one) and a non-returnable current headshot, and be prepared to have your photograph taken at the time of your audition to assist our team with the casting process.
