Overview

Living together in The Footlights Club, a house exclusively for female performers trying to negotiate the business of theatre, Stage Door takes a look into the lives of a group of young actresses as they try to make it in the world of Broadway in the 1930’s.

Emerging in the midst of The Great Depression, this show serves as a love letter to the American Dream and the persistence of all starving artists, exploring success, failure, love, comradeship and perseverance.

The hopes and ambitions of these sixteen young women are revealed in scenes of entertaining comedy. In the midst of a vicious industry and navigating troubles with love, Terry Randall must stick to her guns if she wants to stand a chance in as she fights for her dream of holding a leading role on Broadway.
